Executive Assistant (Intern)

Bane Capital is a Record Label, Design Studio and Creative Agency. Bane Capital delivers immersive multimedia experiences in the form of singles and full length LPs with high profile music industry collaborators, music videos, digital and visual art, and handcrafted clothing and home goods all fully produced, designed and directed in-house. We have an emphasis on music, art, and street culture.

Reporting to the company Directors, the Executive Assistant - Intern will aid and coordinate activities related to the operations of Bane Capital.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Complete day-to-day marketing & administration responsibilities under the direction of directors.

  • Set up songs in royalty system; register songs with performance right societies


  • Assist with SOCAN publishing, issuing licenses, and auditing songs in EMP(Electronic Music Publishers) catalogs to ensure proper payment


  • Conduct and present research on licensing and sync opportunities 


  • Manage our physical retail sales to stores and distributors


  • Work closely with our worldwide network of distribution partners


  • Plan and write regular email newsletters to record stores


  • Pitch our releases to distribution partners and sales teams

  • Support the strategic direction, planning, implementation, and management of artist campaigns

  • Work together with the Design team to ideate video and image creatives supporting Bane Capital activities 


  • Liaise with internal and external teams to deliver premium campaigns to a deadline and budget.


  • Maximize opportunities across D2C, live, brand, sync and other non-traditional music label income.


  • Assist with planning and production of live events

  • Other responsibilities as required


Key Qualifications:

  • You genuinely enjoy music in physical formats and get excited about record stores.


  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in the music industry and/or retail sales and distribution.


  • You understand high-level planning and are able to create marketing plans for physical retail sales.


  • You have a knack for creative and exciting promotional campaigns.


  • You have experience with email marketing and know how to plan and launch successful campaigns.


  • You have experience working with sales reports, budgets, and big picture planning.


  • You are able to work well within a team.


  • You have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and love contributing to a team atmosphere. 


  • You are extremely organized, self-starting and have a strong understanding of prioritizing and managing multiple projects at a time.


  • You are dependable and able to thrive in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines. 


  • You are an exceptional communicator and responsive to critique and collaboration.
